The landscape holds

Rocks, waterways and vegetation tell a story that began long before us. At Rancho Akar, conservation starts with understanding that story and the connections that sustain the land.
Akar Reserve expresses our vision of care and regeneration. Ale de la Cerda and Tejido Paisaje guide this approach: reading the water, soil and desert life so that every decision grows from the place itself.

Stone and soil hold the land’s memory. The regeneration vision seeks to protect them and restore their relationships with water and vegetation.

Plant communities form a network of shelter, food and adaptation. The proposal favors native species and vegetation mosaics that support habitat recovery.

The future begins
with a seed.
The landscape concept includes a nursery and seed bank to support native plant propagation. Recovering, propagating and reintroducing vegetation creates continuity with the surrounding environment.
These are proposed areas of work, guided by knowledge of the site and its cycles.
04 / Reading the land
Conservation means understanding
the connections.
The landscape zoning connects the reserve with waterways, vegetation, the nursery and other Rancho Akar spaces. It sees the ranch as part of a wider system between mountains and sea.
